Everyone.... I just figured it out. I restarted the program and clicked "Check for an updated license".

Hello!

 

So, today I downloaded Visual Studio Community so I can start with C++ programming. 

I saw this:

Does that mean that I won't be able to use Visual Studio Community after 30 days?

It's the same as 2017, you need to click sign in and use your Microsoft live/whatever account. Once you've signed in your copy of Community Edition will be licenced to your Microsoft account and it will be free forever.

That's very weird then, something's obviously messed up with the activation.

 

Only things I can think of is to go to Help-About and I think it's License Status at the top or bottom, then from that screen I think there is a button that says something like 'Update License" or "Refresh License", a window might pop up asking you to confirm your password. If that fails the same screen should have a button to re-enter your credentials which you could try before doing anything drastic like a re-install.

I had the same thing happen to me too. I ended up just using my college email that gives me it for free

You can also use it with azure to host your webapps and sites for free. Your URL is <appname>.azurewebsites.com or something like that, perfect for showing stuff to potential employees or clients without spending a penny on software or hosting.
