How to get thumbnails and images back in Windows File Explorer

I have been trying to find a way to get images to show up in my folders again

I cannot figure it out, and have already tried going into options under view

Does anyone have an idea on whats wrong, thanks for your time

Is this on all files or just *.png?

For only *.png try this:

1. Open regedit (regedt32.exe)
2. To to HKEY_CLASS_ROOT\.png
3. Export the ShellEx key for backup
4. Delete all keys listed in ShellEx
5. Reboot
