Does Lenovo Legion Y530 need calibrating

I just bought a Lenovo Legion Y530 and I'm questioning the accuracy of the colours. Is it necessary to buy a colour calibrator like a spyder?

No, just use the pre-installed Windows display calibration tool.

This model has low sRGB IPS display. Even though you calibrate the colours, colour accuracy is still not good

How bad is it? Which laptops have better displays?

Maybe, if the difference is noticeable.

If you're doing colour sensitive work, you can notice the difference

Where are you from? Budget? Any preference on weight and battery life?

I'm from the UK but currently in Portugal so I can buy from both countries. My budget is around £800 to £1500. I'd like something light weight but if it's heavy it's not a problem. Not fussed about battery. Would like at least 15 inch screen. Should also be a good speed and able to handle light video editing and adobe creative suite.

Thank you so much for this. The PC Specialists all sound good but how do I know the display's any good? I looked up the Dell G7 for example, which is an IPS like my lenovo and it scored lower in terms of display https://www.notebookcheck.net/Dell-G7-15-i7-8750H-GTX-1060-Max-Q-Laptop-Review.317686.0.html

What should I be looking for?

I went to Fnac where I bought my laptop today, and I'm now limited to the options I can get there since I'm guaranteed an exchange not refund. With this said I've decided to invest more in order to get a better display since i don't have space for a seperate screen and I'm tossing up between a macbook pro and a surface laptop 2. My spec for both i7 with 500GB and 16GB RAM *and 15" for macbook. I wondered what was your opinion on both.

144Hz IPS = good display. Or look for 72% NTSC. All models I've picked have good display so don't worry

Depends on model

Neither are good options IMO because I hate anti-consumer company. Go for the ones I've mentioned above.
