Weird headphone/surround/spidf issues.

miljaker

I have a normal stereo headset with a 3.5mm jack that I plug in the front of my case. It was working perfectly fine until out of nowhere another audio device appeared. Its apparently plugged into my S/PIDF jack.

Now my headphones are in some weird surround setting where everything that's in front of me doesn't get played back at all. For example, I can't hear anything with default settings on the most recent linus video. If I change the main volume slider to either left or right I hear everything fine at both sides of my headphone.

I'm not sure how I can describe it better. Could anyone help me fix this?

What sound card/onboard are you using?

Try making sure your driver's control panel is set to stereo output or headphone output
