No new thread ripper CPU?

So I've been trying to keep up on the news all the discussion leaks and rumors about the new AMD processors it sounds like there is a good chance there will not be a new thread ripper coming out with the new CPU lineup?

I've had a lot of people recommend waiting to get a thread ripper CPU because when the new ones come out the old ones will drop and price should this mean when the new CPUs come out If they don't release a new thread ripper the old thread rippers won't go down in price?

That would be a bummer for me lol

The reason people are skeptical is AMD is supposedly pushing 16 cores and 32 threads on their highest end consumer model. Beating even some of the old thread rippers. But all of these are just rumors, just like how there used to be a rumor about how this gen would have a 64 core threadripper, beating intels Xeon with 56 cores. They probably are going to release some, its just that its not as "active" of a community as the consumer ones is and there are less leaks and less speculation. Also they seem to but the thread rippers out a season or 2 later than the consumer chips.

If there's Eypc for Zen 2, there will be Threadripper. Seriously TR is just Epyc with features and maybe cores disabled/cut off, AMD can let board partners figure out the rest.

the 16core/32thread engineering sample for zen 2 leaked the other day, it's 4.3, i would hold off on any TR purchases now, zen 2 TR seems to be delayed as they are struggling with clock speed like the 16 core. fingers crossed.
