getting low fps on CSGO

boyebs

Hi guys, im not satisfied regarding my fps while playing CSGO, getting average fps around 200-250, and it dip around 150-170 at low settings,

Here's my current build

Ryzen 5 1600

Ab350m Gaming 3

Rtx 2070 gigabyte

16gb  2400mhz

120ssd(windows,pubg,csgo)

500hdd

*i used gtx 1050 before I upgrade my card, and getting the same fps using the 1050.

**I've notice a lot of improvement with my fps while playing PUBG using the 2070 card.

***Is it possible that my procie is bottlenecked w/ my GPU? since csgo is CPU intensive game? (correct me if im wrong)

what should i do? is my experience normal? thank you Ltt-peepz

On your 60 Hz monitor, cap your fps to 60. When you get a 144 Hz monitor, cap your fps to 144. This should fix your issue. Any fps over 60 on your 60 Hz monitor and any fps over 144 on your 144 Hz monitor you will not see unless you get a monitor with a higher refresh rate.

You can get a brand new 24.5" 1080p 165 Hz monitor for around $180 - $205 or a brand new 24.5" 1080p 240 Hz monitor for around $250 - $290 pretty regularly.
