Gpu wrecking cpu?? Help

Hi all, 

 

I have a problem I built a new pc which has an i5 3570k ans a rx570 (4gb) everything works great until I start to play a game then the cpu goes to its maximum and I can't play the game(well with more then 20fps)I have it plugged into the gpu and installed the latest drivers. 

 

I am really out of options here so I hope someone can help me.

So if the videocard is overheating it will mess with the cpu?? I will test this later after school and post it here.

No, but if the CPU is overheating it slows down to prevent dying, that's called CPU throttling.

Yeah then that is not the problem I've put new pasta on it and I also had the same problem when I used the gpu on my personal pc which has an ryzen 5 2400g

Try running 3DMark Firestrike and report the score. We can compare the scores you get with the scores of similar systems and determine if your PC underperforms or not.

I have used the msi overlay to see how the system performs and in fortnite medium settings I am getting less then 20fps at 768p with 40% cpu usage and 86%gpu usage I don't know why I am getting such low fps  

I tested cinebench for the cpu and got 473

The Basic version is free, you can get it from their website or on Steam.

You have to pay for the basic version and then you can use fire strike which is then for free
