Help me choosing a monitor (mainly for gaming)

gta6287

I've been planning on building my very first high end gaming pc since last year and I've compiled all the list for my pc components. But I don't know which monitor is perfect to use for my upcoming gaming pc. I mainly play a fast paced video games like csgo, pubg, apex etc. And I'm not sure whether I should go for 4k resolution or not. My budget for the monitor is between $500 to $700

You'd probably like high refresh rate.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Well you can buy a 4k monitor and use 4k on the desktop and while gaming use 1440p with AA methods turned on and get triple digits frame rates.  Gaming at 4k you will need a 2080Ti and you will only get 60fps sustained and some drops here and there.  Are you conerend about desktop real estate then get a 4k monitor and use that resolution for desktop like I said and use 1440p for gaming.

Asus Sabertooth x79 / 4930k @ 4500 @ 1.408v / Gigabyte WF 2080 RTX / Corsair VG 64GB @ 1866 & AX1600i & H115i Pro @ 2x Noctua NF-A14 / Carbide 330r Blackout

Scarlett 2i2 Audio Interface / KRK Rokits 10" / Sennheiser HD 650 / Logitech G Pro Wireless Mouse & G915 Linear & G935 & C920 / SL 88 Grand / Cakewalk / NF-A14 Int P12 Ex
AOC 40" 4k Curved / LG 55" OLED C9 120hz / LaCie Porsche Design 2TB & 500GB / Samsung 950 Pro 500GB / 850 Pro 500GB / Crucial m4 500GB / Asus M.2 Card

Alright I found this monitor, Acer XV273K after doing a search.

4k, 1ms, 144hz, ips. Is it worth it considering the price?

Thanks. I might just go for this monitor if i wanted a 2k monitor. But is it worth it going for 2k monitor if my build is an i7 with 2080ti? I feel like a 4k monitor can fully utilize the pc to its full potential.

1440p looks really good, and the 2080 ti is basically the only card that can do max detail 1440p 144hz in AAA titles (it's more demanding than 4k)

Alright, I think I might just go for it then. But is there curved monitor with 1440p, 144hz, 1ms, ips? Can't find it on pcpartpicker so I assume there isnt?

none that I know of, off the top of my head, but a curved 16:9 vs a flat isn't a huge difference

Thanks. Just wanna experience a curved monitor. I'll have to give up on that for performance then.
