buttons at the bottom of posts are broken

Go to solution Solved by colonel_mortis,

The icons are loaded as a font from google. If for some reason you're not able to access fonts.gstatic.com or googleapis.com, or if they give you a messed up response for some reason, you will get the fallback text instead.

I grabbed a random post in a topic for a demonstration. it's not just my posts, but posts made by others too. the problem is clearly visible, the "ADD" "REPLY" etc buttons at the bottom of the post.

macOS 10.14.4

Safari Version 12.1 (14607.1.40.1.4)

I have UBlock Origin installed but disabled on the forum, as well as dark reader, also disabled on the forum.

I am using a legit Mac (Mid-2012 MacBook Pro) that is officially supported on macOS Mojave.

EDIT: the buttons still work fine. this issue doesn't exist on chrome on the same Mac.

EDIT 2: the problem has gone away. weird...

I'm guessing the page isn't loading correctly, a refresh usually fixes it for me.

Not a permanent one, I just refresh the site cache with Ctrl+F5

I've seen that several times before but only very briefly as the page loads, then they change to icons

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Its just about site being loaded slowly. Happens time-to-time, mainly on slower connections. And for me its usually top menu not loading properly.

Something to do with safari then, but if it was browser-wide I'm sure others would also mention it so it's gotta be something specific to your setup
