Hi..

So i have some problems playing FiveM. I've had 3 blackouts today.

Is it normal or should i refund my GPU?

It's pretty annoying when in a middle of gameplay ur GPU just blackouts and u need to restart ur PC to play again..

A PC spontaneously shutting off or crashing is never normal (at stock settings) so you should definitely start to troubleshoot to identify the cause of the issue. What specific PSU is powering your system?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Low quality PSU. I'll hedge that, that's the problem.

500W should be enough for 2070.

Not necessarily.

It depends on the Quality of the PSU.

You say that a VW Lupo is enough for a 2 ton trailer??

Or you need a car that's able to tow a 2 ton trailer?

Same with PSU. You have the Lupo and try to tow a 2 ton trailer.

Wattage doesn't make a PSU good nor does power efficiency.  Lacking protections, power delivery problems, stuff like this, bad caps, and so on makes a PSU low quality.

What PSU is good quality then?

tier b or higher is good

tho i'd recommend tier a or higher for your 2070

Rtx2070 consumes around 230w under torture, so roughly ~350 watt total System power hunger (depends on CPU though. .)

A quality 500 watt unit should be enough. I'd get some550 watt unit, ie bitfenix whisper m or corsair rmx, dark power pro or straight power, seasonic prime ultra, which are reasonably priced and available locally .

The old psu is still fine for scaring cats away as we say..

Life is really challenging. I don't always suceed: )

It could only be one of a couple problems, a shoddy PSU doesn't necessarily make it the cause of blackouts. I'd also test with a friend's PC and PSU to see if the issues persist.

anything else i can help with?

Actually yes, with RAM,

I currently have Crucial 8GB DDR4-2400 UDIMM, NON-ECC, CL17, 1.2V.  Should i just upgrade to 16GB or buy new Corsair 2400MHz ram?
