What cpu should I get

I have currently got an i5 6600t paired with a 1070 and I am trying to find a cpu that won’t bottleneck in any game. Thank you in advance.

id suggest using Intel extreme tuningutility and see if you can up the power limit on the CPU.

save up from there untill you can get a 6 core of some kind. i dont see the 6700 being a worthwhile upgrade

I don't think that a locked i5 6600 can't drive the GTX 1070 fine enough if you don't try multi-tasking a lot while gaming.

Since second hand i7's from Skylake and Kaby Lake era are ovepriced I'd say wait (and save up) for an upgrade after Zen 2 been released.

I would just advise you to wait until Ryzen 3000 and watch the prices of first-gen Ryzen crashing down. There'll be mobo combo deals at microcenter all the damn time.

Main Rig :

Ryzen 7 2700X | Powercolor Red Devil RX 580 8 GB | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 | 16 GB TeamGroup Elite 2400MHz | Samsung 750 EVO 240 GB | HGST 7200 RPM 1 TB | Seasonic M12II EVO | CoolerMaster Q300L | Dell U2518D | Dell P2217H |

Laptop :

There'll be £100 CPUs dropping when new Ryzen releases, and £60 can turn into £80 quickly when you sell your current CPU and mobo, then bam, new Ryzen setup.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad
