Black Screen While Gaming

Hello,

So I recently transported my PC to a LAN party. I took special care in taking my graphics card out and then reinstalling it upon arrival. However, every time I physically unplug my computer, when I turn it on again and try to load up a game, I get black screen flickering. Luckily doing a clean install on my graphics drivers solves the issue as long as I don't unplug my PC. I'm very confused as to why this is an issue and why clean installing my drivers fixes it. Thanks for the help!

I would try to uninstall the drivers, maybe use DDU just to be sure, and do a clean install of the drivers one time. What are the specs of the PC?

I have a Ryzen 5 1600, Gigabyte Rx580 8GB, Asus Strix B350 motherboard, 16 GB of DDR4 memory, a 250 GB nvme ssd, a 1tb HDD, a corsair cs550m power supply. I tried uninstalling the drivers and did a clean install of them which seems to be the only fix, but as soon as I unplug my PC, I have the same issue again. Thanks for your help!

Is the GPU or CPU overclocked? Also when this happens can you use device manger and check to see if the driver shows up?

For example: After you unplug the PC and turn it on got to Device manager -> Dsiplay Adapters -> Right Click Properties and then Driver tab.

Only my ram is overclocked, and yeah, the drivers still show up.

Try resetting the ram to its stock speed. I would also look at event viewer and see if its throwing any errors when it happens? Its definitely strange though.
