Ridiculous amount of lag while using Ethernet cable on PC

Kokomo

Hi

over the past week or so I have been having loads of lag while connected via Ethernet cable. At first while playing rocket league I would constantly get the latency variation and some packet loss symbols pop up i recently upgrade my entire pc so it’s extremely frustrating that I can’t play online. When I play battlefield v I get over 2000 ping and it’s unplayable so I’ve just uninstalled it. And also on overwatch I get the same symbols as on rocket league. I have tried the packet loss test in cmd and never got any errors the the router is basically right next to the pc. The thing I don’t understand is that I use the PS4 with Ethernet and I don’t lag as much as this or at all. I never really used to lag badly either on my pc so I’m a bit confused on what’s going on. I changed the cable to a new one as I thought it might of been that but no change.

Any help is is appreciated as I’m kind of stuck and frustrated that I’ve spent all this money on my pc and can’t play online decently.

Have you updated your LAN drivers for your motherboard?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Worth to check.

Superfetch or system sometimes sucks a lot of bandwidth.

Even metered connection setting bypassed by them lol
