Also Gigabyte 2080 Ti Waterforce, Zotac 2080 Ti ArticStorm, Inno3D 2080 Ti iChill. They all have similar OC headroom though.

VR makes me sick... in some games, not others. Isolated problem to pushing frames. Whats the most powerful frame monster money can buy with an AIO and some serious overclocking headroom attached? I'm taking 120 as its minimum output here. Single cards only (I've been down the SLI road before and never again).

2080 with its extra performance in DX12 and Vulkan, but honestly I'd just get the cheaper of the two.

i use a 1080ti and it works very well with 1.5X supersampling on oculus rift in just about everything...and many games can even run at 2.0X with 90FPS...and i would assume the 2080 would do equally well...but the 1080ti has more VRAM and when you render at those extremely high resolutions is coming useful...also the HP reverb 4K 90hz headset is just around the corner and many racing fans like me will sell second hand rift and vive...which work amazing with project cars 2 for example.

 

I would lean toward the cheaper card that you can get your hands on that has decent cooling and call it a day honestly.
