Will installing Lineage OS / rooting on a mid range phone make it worth more?

I bought a Honor 7X about 7 months ago, and since it was under $200 and there are better budgets, i am having trouble selling it. If i were to install something like Lineage OS or root it or something like that, should that help?

Only if there was someone out there looking for that specifically. But if they were looking for that they probably have the ability to do it themselves. 

 

It wouldn’t hurt to try, but I wouldn’t expect much.

not really no. Unless you ported it yourself and made it work and didnt release to public.
