I bought it from umart in Australia 2-3 weeks ago

Take it back to umart and say its fucked, wont even update the bios, and request a changeover on the spot (call before getting there). You are protected against Australian consumer law. Don't mention the caps.

Ever since I changed my motherboard to this Asus b450-I mini itx I freeze as soon as I log into Windows 10, and freeze sometimes at the bios splash screen. I tried different drives, sata ports, and sata cables. Since this, all started happening since I changed my motherboard I thought maybe the bios is causing the freezing in the bios splash screen so I tried to update my bios. Welp that didn't work because it froze as soon as I pressed "read this file" I download windows 8.1 on a drive and surprisingly. It didn't freeze anymore. So, some driver with the motherboard and Windows 10 aren't getting along because winodws 8.1 works fine and something might be wrong with the bios too. Does anyone know how to fix these issues?

move it to the other slot, unplug all internal storage devices and mouse.

Get a different usb, format FAT 32 and ensure you get the latest version of the bios unzipped into the root directory of the flash drive.

maybe disconnect the case IO from the motherboard, it might be causing the freeze.

You mean take the motherboard out of the case and try it?

i mean just unplug the internal USB 2.0 and 3.0 case headers and only use the rear motherboard ports to update

Just tried that with 1201 update and still freezes. Btw i go into the bios and press ez flash, then go to the drive, select the file and a box comes up saying "do you want to read this file?" I press enter with my keyboard and it freezes. I also realized that the mouse and keyboard lights turn off to when the computer freezes.

Plug in the network and it will download the latest bios file.

It says "please select the internet connection type" either DHCP PPPoE or fixed IP. Which one?

sounds like the board needs an RMA

Hm ok. I did scratch the capacitors a bit on the side of the motherboard when installing the cpu fan. WIll they still accept it?
