How good is EVGA's warranty on DOA products?

Recommended Posts

I've been looking at this sale on newegg for an EVGA 2070.

It has pretty low reviews from January but I think that's just due to some defective products from Q1.

Considering EVGA's warranty policies, if on the off chance that I get a defective product, will I be fine or will it be money down the drain?

If EVGA's warranty isn't good enough, you shouldn't buy anything :D

EVGA will usually send you another unit, since this is a widely occurring problem on a in-production card

You should be fine. I would go through Newegg first on the chance that you get a DOA product or if it's in that 30 day warranty window.

Thanks, I hadn't even thought of that.

I had a broken used 1070ti from EVGA. No receipt or anything, they still covered it under warranty for free for me. Very good customer service at EVGA. If you have proof of purchase they'll even advanced RMA you a card (send a replacement out immediately)

Email verification / account transaction proof / transaction numbers from Newegg should be valid proof of purchase right?

Yup - so it would be a very convenient process if you got a DOA. You might actually go right through Newegg though for the RMA.
