On paper the Barracuda (yes, spelling counts) is faster.

  2. WD initially, but seagate has come a long way since their high fail rates in the 2000's. So they're roughly the same now.

I have a 3TB and a 5TB WD Black hard drives (both for four years now). I really like them but they are loud (my case is very open though) I cannot comment on how loud the Barracuda Pro drives are, but I imagine being a 7200RPM performance hard drive it would be similar.

Just get the cheaper one.

The Barracuda and the Black perform about the same, you should get the cheapest of the two. The Blue is slower, I'd avoid it.

IRL both drives offer similar speeds, it's not like you're comparing an ATA66 to a SATA3 here

Fairly sure the answer will be the same as above.  They are the same drives you're asking about earlier, just now one is 8TB instead of 6TB. Even if they bumped cache or something, you won't notice a thing.

You realize they're just hard drives right?  Material quality will be the same, no carbon fiber or advanced nanocell technology.

Slow down and relax a bit, you're anxiety is coming thru clearly.

Since people say one is better, then others say the other is better... kind of means they're about equal and so close that no one can really come to a consensus.

Personal preference on the brand is most likely what is going on.

Get whichever you want, either will serve you well.  You're in good hands with them.

They are the same.  Same materials.  Same way they work.  They have different controllers that do the same exact thing, read and write data to a platter :)
