Which Gen PCI-e? As long as a mobo has a PCI-e slot any graphics card is supported with older generation PCI-e slots holding the GPU potential back a bit.

Any GPU. You can throw in a Titan and it'll work. Since the motherboard is old. You'll bottleneck anything above a 1050Ti

You can put a 1050 Ti in there, get a Core 2 Extreme, hope the VRMs don't catch on fire as it's a cheap board and you're done!

Ryzen 7 3700X / 16GB RAM / Optane SSD / GTX 1650 / Solus Linux

the 945 chipsets don't support anything more than 4gb of ram, so even a cheap GPU will end up being a pointless upgrade since lack of ram will bottleneck everything anyway. try to save up for a used i5 2400 system instead.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W
