Good Gaming TV for Under $500

My dad needs a new TV for his Xbox One X. His budget is a pretty generous $500. He wants it to be at least 48 inches and 1080p60 with low input lag, but bigger and higher res is definitely welcome. I saw the TCL 55R617 and the LG 49SK8000PUA which looked pretty good, but the LG is sorta small and the TCL seems to have quality control issues. Any recommendations for a TV?

I've been using that TCL display for a while now, it's pretty good. No complaints so far

I have a 4K samsung that was about that price

Its a VA panel, but there is no HDR

(which is fine since games like RDR2 fake HDR anyway)

i7 6700k, GTX 1080, Crucial MX 300, Maximus VII Hero, WD Blue, 16 GB RAM
