Ipod 4 and iPhone4s Revive?

Why not just get a newer MP3 player and drop your music files on them?

Hi

Both my ipod4 and iphone4 died around the same time. I used them for music on the go for the most part, because I don't like using my current phone for music (it doesn't have an audio jack and the adapter broke after 1 month of use).

Question: Should I try getting them fixed for on the go music? Is it worth it? If so, should I go to a shop to fix it or try replacing the battery myself?

Thanks
