Noise/interference in audio, especially when opening new browsers/programs?

nicolas2465

Hi, this problem has just started popping up and it happens within spotify, and web audio as well, although not on video from what I can tell.

When opening a new browser (Edge for example) while spotify is playing a podcast, I get this annoying interference/glitchy static sound.  hard to describe.  If I don't open anything and just let the audio play, it will still do that intereference here and there but it really is more pronounced when playing around with different windows and such.

Happens with front audio plugin as well as motherboard direct plug in.  Tried two different headsets to the same effect.

What board? Might just be electromagnetic interference coming from the GPU affecting the audio-related equipment on the board. I had the case when I was using a dedicated sound card, which did not have a lot of interference shielding and it was outputting static sound when it was too close to GPU. Moved the sound card to a further slot from the GPU and it went away.

MSI MPG z390 Pro Carbon.

And I do not have an external sound card;

I can move the GPU down one slot but it will have less airflow, slight substantially so
