Intel Core2 Quad Q8200 in Dell Optiplex 780

Is it possible for me to put a Intel Core2 Quad Q8200 in a Dell optiplex because I would like to upgrade my old PC and I have a Intel Core2 Quad Q8200

laying around.

Chipset Q45

The internet seems to say yes... If you have the chip, try it!

By the way, 775 is the socket, not the chipset.

Yes, Any Core 2 Quad (maybe aside from the Extreme Edition ones) will work a 780.

If you can get your hands on a Q6600 instead, I recommend doing so and tape-modding it to 3.0GHz.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.
