Yes, they do have TB3 NAS or DAS, but using TB3 will limit how data is transferred on and off the NAS.  It's more for back up and cold storage of 1 computer, not a NAS with multiple users accessing it.  Unless that's not what you are planning.

I would look at what your NAS and its configuration is capable of before you invest too much. For instance if you have 3 disks you may only get 200-350mbyte/s. Or if you have 2 disks mirrored, you may only get 150mbyte/s.

If it's for your family, are you sure you need more than gigabit? When I was living with 2 of my friends even with 3 of us being power users, we still hardly ever maxed out gigabit with 4K streams, torrents, etc...

It's worth noting that you can use dual nics to load balance (giving you 2 channels of 1gbit each) if you target by hostname or target the different interface IP's.

If you are running linux, smb4 does multichannel where it can combine the bandwidth of 2 or more nic's...similar to creating a LAG with physical hardware.

If you have a managed switch or a high end router, then you can create a LAG as above.

10Gbps Ethernet Card is a cheaper choice, if you only need connect desktop PC.
