Monitor Vs Television

For same price tag, bigger tv is available in the market which can be connected to the pc..so is it ok to use tv as monitor..?

Provided it has the functions you want with a good (low amount of) input lag; yeah a TV could totally be an option.

It all depends on what two screens we're comparing, but a TV is basically a monitor with some more features (like more and a different variety of ports - typically some analog inputs like component video and COAX still... etc.), but they can be used as a monitor still.

 

Also, gonna tag @Enderman here, our resident "using a TV as a monitor"-fan.

But in general a TV can be an excellent way to get a large screen monitor for a, relatively, lower price due to the abundance or large screen TV's (or lack or large screen monitors).

As long as you're fine with 60Hz and not looking to do 120/144/240Hz competitive gaming, tvs can work well.

Actually I'm on tight budget for system build. So out of total $1000, I can spend only 100-125$. So for this budget what will be more appropriate.

You're not gonna get any decent tv for $100.

You'll barely get a working monitor for that price...

Go for the monitor.

 

If you budget for the VDU was more in the region of $400, you would have the option of a TV good enough for gaming, but even then u'd have to sacrifice anything above 60hz at 4k, and no VRR.
