That's what they did with the current Gen so almost certainly correct.

As far as they are concerned, if it can output an 8K signal then it's 8K. For games they can just upscale and 90% of people will never know.

I think the PS5 is like at least 2.5 years away, before any new PS console gets launched. And in those 2.5 years we can go far.

Who knows maybe at that time 4K has become the ‘norm’ and we venture int 8K.

speculation ...

They didn't define what they mean with 8k.

So its entirely possible that they were only talking about Display Output, not rendering.

Meaning that they use an HDMI (maybe DP) specification that is able to output 8k resolution.

That is all what I'd read into it right now.

What?! No, that's nonsense.

We know that its in the works and that its announced to not be released this year.

That means 2020, next year is a likely release date for the PS5. 2,5 Years is too long!
Look at how much this gen consoles are struggling with some games these days.

First of all Thnx for taking interest

secondly even nvidia’s most powerful gpu can hardly  handle games at 8k 60 fps

how the hell this amd sh*# can handle it

????

Super Fast loading times.

Cerny threattens an SSD that's faster than anything on the Desktop right now...

That could mean a PCIe 4.0 m.2 SSD.
