Non-Gaming Laptop

HP Pavilion x360 15

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a laptop that is sub $700 that can fold on itself so that I can take notes in OneNote. I don't need a high powered gaming rig, I am thinking about an i5 or equivalent 8gb ram onboard graphics. I am going to be using it mostly with cloud-based applications. I also need an excellent battery >9 hrs and I would like a stylus. I have been looking at the HP spectres x360s and the Dell XPS 2in1 but they are a little out of budget. I am not tied to any brand, any insight or recommendations would be appreciated.

Where are you from? Any preference on weight and display size? Mind low sRGB display and non-upgradable RAM?

FYI >7 hrs is more reasonable for 'good' battery life

I am from the USA and I would say the smallest I could see myself having is a 14". I think at that size 4k would be a little pointless and since I would be only using it for movies on flights a bit overpowered for my use of the laptop. I don't mind non-upgradeable ram as long as it is at least 8 GB. What I am looking for is really a cross between an actual notebook (for OneNote) and start learning some development work. I am going to be taking either a generalassemb.ly or coding dojo course this summer.
