Need an adapter for 980.

My brother has a EVGA GTX 980 Classified card, he recently acquired a 4K display, the problem is his graphics card has one DP 1.2 port, not three like most 980’s. His card has HDMI 2.0 out, is there a HDMI 2.0 to DP 1.2 converter or cable out there? I can’t find anything that will take a HDMI 2.0 signal (from a GPU) and convert it to DP 1.2 (for a display).

Thanks.

P.S. He’s using the only display port out for a 32” 4K display.

Case: Rosewill THORV2 CPU: i7 5930K Motherboard: EVGA X99 Classified RAM: 16GB DDR4 G.Skill GPU: MSi GTX 980 Ti Lightning Edition (2x SLI) PSU: Corsair 1000w 80+ Platinum Drives: 500GB SSD (2x), 120GB SSD, 2TB (2x) HDD, 4TB HDD, & 500GB HDD Displays: Dell P2715Q 27" (4K) (3x nVidia Surround)

Might be the cable? HDMI 2.0 can display 4k @60hz well a good cable. If it's like a netflix/multi monitor thing all need to support hdcp2.2 to work on multi monitors. Also DP 1.2 can support video resolutions of up to 3840 x 2160 pixels 4K at a refresh rate of @60Hz. Sounds like a cable issue.

I’m wondering though, if there is a cable that’s an HDMI 2.0 to DP 1.2. His monitors do not support HDMI 2.0 (in), but they have multiple DP 1.2 (mini & full size). He needs a cable that can connect to the GPU (HDMI 2.0 out) to a monitor (DP 1.2 in).

Pretty sure It don't work that way. Cheaply at least. The adapters I see are around 150$USD. At that price I would imaging it would be better to sell the 980 for a 980ti or something like a 1070ti etc, that has the ports your looking for.
