Why are the display ports on graphic cards

I am sorry for this dumb question but I could find an answer anywhere 

 

Why are there display ports in graphic cards if don’t use them in a pc 

 

Sorry for weird question I am just a noob in Pc parts

Sounds like you might be using the video ports on your motherboard, which is the wrong way to do it.

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

Because those connect to the video card itself. If you're using the motherboard, those connect to the integrated GPU on the CPU if present.
