yeah you don't have much breathing room on a 4-thread system ._. most gaming-only recommendations of the past recommend an i5 (before the streaming/ryzen era), so options are kinda limited if you're coming from that.
do test the setup for yourself though, to see if it's just enough to not slow down your entire system. (small bonus would be you could just turn to your laptop to deal with chats and whatnot without needing to alt-tab on the desktop)
okay so i can set it up to get all the audio from the desktop obs and stream it to the laptop? that's what was worrying me mostly. again thanks
yes that should pretty much be it. after installing the NDI plugin on both ends, run OBS and find Tools > NDI Output Settings > enable NDI output. then on your laptop make a new NDI source in the sources column
