No Thumbnails for Video Files - Causing Problems

So I recently picked up a GH5 and I shoot primarily 4k 4:2:2 10-bit video films (150mbps codec).  I'm running on Windows 10 and Windows cannot generate video clip thumbnails for these .MP4 files.  That is fine for my needs but is actually causing a problem.  Every 5-10 minutes while I have a folder open, Windows TRIES to generate the thumbnails.  While doing so it clogs up Disk Usage for my scratch disk.  So while I'm in the middle of an edit, Windows jumps in, tries to generate the thumbnails and slows down my timeline performance in Premiere.

So is there a way to get Windows 10 to be able to generate these video previews?  Or stop it from trying to do so?

In windows explorer in a folder with your clips go to the View Tab then click arrow under options and go to the View Tab, the first check box check it ( Always show icons, never thumbnails) Click Apply to Folders at the top then Apply and OK.

Should take care of it.

Thank you.  That should be a good temp fix anyway.  I would still like to be able to view thumbnails.  I need to figure out if there is a way to make the larger codec video files display thumbnails in Windows 10 next.  For now that seems to be the ticket.
