From its base, my rig is approximately a year and a half year old; that's mainly on the motherboard, the RAM and the case I have.

The CPU was purchased in June and the GPU was purchased this past February. Don't expect to upgrade for a while, at least until I can afford Threadripper.

Hmm, I'm not sure. That's a really good question! I have an i9-7940x and a 1080ti. So I guess that if gaming evolves in the next few years to value cores more, then I'm fine. However, I'm only running at 4.3GHz so if it goes more towards core speed then I might be in trouble.

So maybe 3 years or more? I want to be able to still default to "Insane" when I start up a new game.
