Xfx vega 64 is it worth buying..

i wanted to buy vega card for so long now i m having to get my hands on it, but i have some concerns regarding the card vender xfx. its one month used for 320 dollar... guys i need help.

Xfx is fine. Only issue I see is it's a blower style so temps wont't be ideal

Just keeping this here as a i would say no. v64 is hot, power hungry, and about the same as 1070ti oc or slightly slower than 1080. 

 

you can get a 1070ti for about the same price which is objectively better than the v64.

Dont need a cooler like ch3w2oy said. Stock cooler is fine. Undervolt and overclock, then you have a perfectly fine card.

Vega 56 is the equal to the 1070 ti, the 64 is equal to the 1080. Hotness is also solved by reducing voltage, and a 1070ti at the same price as a V64 swings in favor of the 64.

vega 64 is ~US$450. 

rtx 2060 is 360.

overclock the 2060 and its about the same perf. then you get DXR (if you are). 

 

I personally care about power consumption which is why I steer FAR from amd. they use a lot of power and it adds to your cost over time.

Rtx 2060 is equal-ish to a 1070. Vega 64 is equal-ish to a 1080.

 

Overclocked rtx 2070 may equal the 1080, but then youre putting vega at a disadvantage by not offering the same option to it

 

OC Vega 64 > OC RTX 2060.

 

DXR is dumb on the 2060. Its dumb in general due to poor optimization, implimentation, and support. But its especially dumb when you cant even get to see your fancy ray traced reflections at 60FPS 1080P with cranked details. If you really want DXR, 2070 is the lowest to even bother with.

Overclocked rtx 2070 may equal the 1080, but then youre putting vega at a disadvantage by not offering the same option to it

 

OC Vega 64 > OC RTX 2060.

 

DXR is dumb on the 2060. Its dumb in general due to poor optimization, implimentation, and support. But its especially dumb when you cant even get to see your fancy ray traced reflections at 60FPS 1080P with cranked details. If you really want DXR, 2070 is the lowest to even bother with.

Isn't that the reason the 1070 Ti exists in the first place? IIRC Nvidia released it to compete with the Vega 56, since it landed between a 1070 and 1080 perf wise.
