LTT Conglomerate main discussion thread

According to the devs. the ship specs and pricing are still in development and are subject to change.  I would expect though that the price will shoot up but by then there will no turning back.  The packages will most likely disappear by then and alpha will be in full swing. If you don't want the hornet anymore don't expect to get your hands on a new package around that time from the RSI store.  Also even if you were to melt it down, there is a max limit of $75 store credit applicable to a single purchase.  It is kind of a burden especially when melting down a $140 package.  Right now is the time to buy packages for alpha and beta access.  You may have sometime to possibly trade you package but as I said before be wary that it may not be possible.

Yea.

And last thing before we stop my indecisiveness of the ships, everyone talks of the 325a being super versatile but the hornet has PIVOTING thrusters rather than the 325A's ordinary thrusters, which means that the hornet can manuver pretty well or atleast better than if it had the same type of thrusters as the 325As. Not to mention the 360 degree top cannon :D

I shall go in a state of meditation and confirm my choice. Good bye world and see you all in a bar.

I agree that the thrusters may be better but the game uses actual physics which means despite the amount of power that thruster may have it is still a bigger ship which means it will most likely still be a bit less maneuverable when compared to the smaller 325a.  This is not confirmed but listening to Chris Roberts this is what it most likely to happen but the 360 degree rotating cannon is the real deal.  Good luck on choosing your ship and I am sure we will cross paths in a Star Citizen bar some time in the the future!   :)

So I was going over the stretch goals and I came across the goal at $19 million and I noticed that players will be able to manage space stations.  Also many of the larger ship must dock at these places to gain access to a planet or enter orbit.  I am sure both of you knew of this before but I have not actually seen any chat about any potential LTT space stations.  As the stretch goal specified, space stations will have a limited number and will only be obtained my competing.  I assume by compete they mean large assaults to obtain ownership of the station.  I am confident that we can hold a couple of these and I wanted to know if you have any ideas on how you want to approach getting one.  Of coarse it takes some strategy for taking a station especially if a Bengal Carrier is sitting right there I would feel very reluctant on attempting to assault the base.  I have not really seen any articles about space stations of the Roberts Space Industries website so I wanted to come to you two for information about this.  I don't know much about this and would like to know more.  If you have a bookmark for an article about this can you please share it :).  I am really looking forward to assaulting one for the Conglomerate and am excited to fly with you.

In addition to space stations I was reading a couple of articles about organizations and Chris Roberts says there will be a type of taxing system.  So you can probably guess my next question but will you impose taxes?  As I though about this more and more I realized that taxes for the organization is strangely necessary.  If LTT wanted to fund a project, let's say buy a factory or create one that will get us more ammo then we all benefit.  Or do we go down the contributions route... Don't get me wrong I am sure the community will share their wealth, but how much?  I am just suggesting that a small tax may be necessary to purchase many important things for the organization.  With a partially elected government I am sure it will be a fair fee that most will agree upon.

Finally, will we have goals in some systems to control much of the economy?  As a traditional MMO Star Citizen will have a player based economy and who ever owns the factories in a specific system controls it economy.  Is this something LTT Conglomerate will attempt to accomplish?  I looked into it more and this is something that is possible but a lot of work will need to be done by the mercantile force of the organization and penalties may come from the larger companies for competing.  In all this is route we can take and I just wanted to throw that into the pot and see where it goes from there.  I hope this gave you at least one idea of something we can do in Star Citizen as a organization.  Oh, and we are the most active org. again!!! Well, anyways thanks for being great and I will see you up there in the stars.

Edit: Taxes can go to purchasing a capitol ship for the Conglomerate.

All this can really wait until more information has been released. The game isn't even released yet, let alone in alpha so yea. I'm sure as time draws near the high council will have plans for us.

the M50 is the BMW :P

I think the 325A could use some suede and alot less metal in the interior, imo. so i feel it should feel like this. since i feel it looks like this.

Thanks, and yea I saw the $20 upgrade. Is the $40 to deluxe from starting or business?

I see, the 300i is the "barebones" of the 300 series. Is it just like the hornet and their diff classes? I hope you can upgrade the base hornet to the specs of a super hornet...that would be great!

My budget varies, I mean obviously spending $300 for a super hornet is obviously not worth it for many, but not unless it is a long term investment and fulfills your wants for a while. Its also a dedicated fighter; thats the only thing you're gonna do with it, nothing else.

But drop that budget down and you have some interesting things. The under $100 range for ships(that I consider) consists are the avenger and 300 series. over 100 and I'm looking at the cutlass and hornet. But will most likely be spending under $100 and will earn my way to a hornet or cutlass, or another new ship that they release in the future.

so avenger and 300 series. hmm. I really hope UEC and the upgrades do not take ages to buy. For a mercenary, that could take time, depending on what and how much resources you are escorting, but bounty hunts are great ways of UEC as well.

Also what is a conny/connie that many speak of?

The "Connie" is the Constellation ;)

hmmm not sure how accurate but 3 new version of the FREELANCER has been "leaked" (found in the code) in the latest patch.

The Durrrrr i must say this one looks nice, kinda wish i bought a Freelancer LTI now instead of my 315p LTI :(

The MAX Love those Double thrusters  :D

The Mis  Not sure whats the deal with this.

All credit goes to AnythingFPS.

Note: The Names might just be Temporary, but the looks might be true considering they are in game.

Damn I can't watch those videos right at the moment (I'm at work) but I'm intrigued! The Freelancer does need a bit of work so this might be the start of it.

i dunno for the freelancer but in the cutlass you have to hit blue buttons to open hatches they are mostly around the landing gear
