The Duke of Sussex went on to call for the ban of popular video game Fortnite, saying it was “irresponsible”.

“A game like Fortnite for instance may not be so good for children. Parents have got their hands up; they don’t know what to do about it,” he said.

“It’s like waiting for the damage to be done and kids turning up on your doorsteps and families being broken down. Fortnite shouldn’t be allowed. Where is the benefit in having that game in your household? 

“It’s created to addict – an addiction to keep you in front of a computer for as long as possible. It’s so irresponsible.”

Well last time I checked Fortnite or social media doesn't ruin your organs or get you in trouble.

 

We're back to the early-to-mid 1990s. Computers bad.

 

Maybe if we were royals we'd have the money to have more diverse pastimes.

Any good game is addictive in one form or another.  Same goes for good books, even!!!  That's where the term "Getting lost in a good book" comes from!

Honestly I find it difficult to disagree, not because of the Children but because games like Fortnite are ruining the gaming industry.

 

Ban microtransactions or at the very least loot boxes, and watch those games disappear.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs

Meh, I get tired of hearing about shit like that, PUBG, and Overwatch.

 

I really just want "games as a service" to die. So we can go back to having good games that are well made with a good story.

Not sure whether to agree or disagree , he is right about addiction tho, look at the microtransation profit they're continuously making out of kids who aren't even good at playing sh*t , can be equated to a sort of gambling behavior imo,  on the other hand everyone has the right to play & enjoy any game which means no blanket bans or regulation over it , there's literally far more addictive stuff on the streets in that sense which they can hardly regulate & does permanent damage than video games .
