We had an arcade with various fighting games, DDR, and Time Crisis 2.

 

I'd still take that over an "eSports cafe".

I'm digging the color scheme more than anything, but now I'm curious... is this a private school, and if so, where do you find the $4 billion per year it must cost to go here? If it's a public school, do you guys live in carboard boxes, because I can't imagine the taxes you'd pay for the privilege of having a Bowling Alley, let alone a server farm, in your school. Makes me jealous of our pretty darn good Canadian education system.

Of course, I also screamed in agony when my school "upgraded" their AMD Phenom II B57 computers to Intel Pentium E machines that were newer, but performed HALF as well.

Teachers have been fighting to get wage increases since time immemorial, and your school goes and blows 100's of thousands of dollars on something like this? School is a place to learn, not to play...

That’s the play center. My particular lab (basically one for every building) are iMac’s dual booted. They have 32GB ram but I forget the other stats. We have Hyak also. Really it’s not the tech but wo uses it at the end.

It’s a state school in Washington state. Housing is ridiculous here in king county.  We are 4th to New York, LA, SF I believe in B.S. prices but I live out of the city. Pell grant basically covers all tuition and WA state need grant cover an extra 1K or so.
