Do not buy from newegg!!!

For a long time there have been people telling me newegg is no good and they sell botched stuff or used or faulty.  I never bought from them after hearing this.  I also heard they give you used stuff when you buy new, but it looks brand new.

 

Like a idiot I bought my video card from Newegg Ebay.brand new and didn't get the free games thingie.  My card makes a tick tick sound ruff sound when the fans start to spin.  Grind tick tick and what not.  I must set the fans to 0 to not hear that grind tick tick.  Also the box when I got the card was sorta damaged and what not.

 

I don't recommend any of my fellow friends on LTT to buy from newegg or newegg ebay!  Now I have a RTX card that is botched and I don't feel like doing a RMA and losing my card for a week or what not.....  :(

I've bought thousands of dollars of equipment from Newegg and a good few items from their eBay- Never had a problem. Sorry you got a bad item and shitty shippers

Yeah I buy bi-weekly from Newegg, the only issues I have ever had are from either refurbished/open box (so I will never buy those again) and from third party sellers - Newegg does anything wrong they fix it for me each time.  

 

Sucks that happened to you - I think you need to RMA.  No way you should pay that amount with a tick tick in the fans.

Yeah, the box isn't really a new egg issue. Maybe you accidentally bought a used product, since it was on Ebay? Or maybe it said new other? I personally trust NewEgg even though I have never purchased anything from them. They were kinda the og Amazon only with a focus on tech.

I've been using newegg for every client so far, unless it's a fully used PC build. Haven't done me wrong yet, shame that your first experience was negative. Still, there are avenues to rectify this, RMA comes to mind.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Since you recently bought it you will be covered by Neweggs return policy. Get on to support, say the fan on its broken or whatever, and get it returned in the 30 or 60 day period whatever it is. If you ask for a replacement they might even cross-ship if you're lucky.

Running integrated graphics for a few days while you wait for a replacement is better than putting up with a broken RTX20?0 card.

Thanks my guru brothers....  No April fools joke :(.  I mean I bought from newegg like 15 years ago, but I got the shaft with my recent purchase.  I don't want any of my guru's to get botched stuff...Newegg is like 20 minutes away from my house, so I payed tax, but ya, when things are too good to be true, they most likely are.  

 

I warn everyone do not buy from Newegg ebay where I got my card from!!!  I don't want anyone to spend all that money and get a botched card or botched accessories or hardware and what not.

I literally only buy online, mostly just from newegg and their ebay- have never had a problem.

This can happen wherever you buy from. Especially with the love and care the couriers handle your packages with.

 

One bad card doesn't mean the store is bad. From what you've told us, it seems you haven't even got in contact with them to try and resolve the issue. If they give you crap follow up service and refuse to replace it, then maybe you can complain.

As for Newegg Ebay, I buy from them more often than regular NewEgg because they tend to sell a bit cheaper there for what I buy. Idk why...

Agreed. I could go DONT BUY FROM AMAZON because the USB fan I got in the mail on Saturday had a broken blade... Newegg is likely not the faulty party here especially if your shipping package was damaged.. also many times faulty products get through QA/QC from the manufacture if there is say a bad bearing in a fan on a GPU.. things happen. Cant let one bad experience ruin you or place blame on the E-tailer you bought it from.

NewEgg eBay store is often where you'll find their open box, returned, or used items which usually carry a lesser warranty.

Yes guys, I agree with all the above posts.  I guess its just bad luck or something rather.  I guess I can't fault Newegg.  However I do warn to not buy from Newegg Ebay.
