Title, what makes someone want to make a clickbaity topic rather than actually trying to get their point across without clickbaiting?

They want (A) More readers (B) to read the the topic rather than responding to the title alone feeling as though they have an adequate summary of the topic which (C) prevents confusion and controversy from misunderstandings.

it’s funny and entertaining to waste people’s time sometimes. It’s like how bullies are looking to get a reaction out of you.

OP implied that they have a point. If the point is just to troll (Which is really funny, trust me I get it) then you literally couldn't do it without click baiting. I don't have any examples on the forum but I think what OP is thinking of is like todays LTT video, titled "I Can't Believe This Worked!!!" and doesn't mention anything about how the point of the video is that they cool a PC with concrete.

They are greedy. Simple as that. There are ways around clickbait to get the same or more views/revenue but most are too lazy
