Make Draft of Post?

Recommended Posts

Posted · Original PosterOP

If we are working on a project, is there a way to make a draft of a post besides putting it in a word or google doc?

Like a post that only I can see, but can edit, and eventually post publicly?

The staff here can see the posts too of course :D

But unfortunately, a dedicated 'publish' button is still lacking.. It has been requested in the past; but sadly didn't get an answer back then:

@LoGiCalDrm did make a good point though, suggesting to report a post to get it to be transferred to another topic; I'm just not sure if the staff here would appreciate it + I don't know how that would work with the much used 'Recent Topics'  bar.

Yeah, that just wouldn't work. I could cook up a test post from for example the 21st of March, and it wouldn't appear as a new post if it was moved to another sub forum.

staff can actually move it for you, but the problem with that is that it'll show up as the date you created, so no side bar attention

Just copy the text from your test post and paste it into the new topic you create.

That's what I did.

Images get copied too.

This is the best way to move something from Test Posts to an appropriate subforum.

to add: colour and horizontal-align formatting may not copy over, so take note when manually transferring
