Hex screw thingy

Any one knows what this is called and what tool do I need to remove this from my gpu?

 

this is a evga gtx 1070 ti sc black edition. Thanks

It's probably easiest to hold it there with some (small) pliers and unscrew it from the other side (assuming there is a screw of some sort on the other side).

Yeah I tried, but the nut is just spinning with the screw, so I need something to hold the nut so I can remove the screw.

Yeah, you hold it with the pliers and screw with the screwdriver :)

Of course there a proper drivers for these sorts of nuts; but the drivers in such a small size are uncommon and pliers is something everyone* has.

Just use a pair of needle nose pliers to hold the nut in place. You can even try to hold the nut in place just by putting some pressure on it with your finger as you try to unscrew it.
