rtx 2080 which one to get?

Moalmalky8

evga xc ultra £740

msi gaming x trio £780

gigabyte gaming oc £760

evga ftw3 £800

im paring this with 9700k and 16gb 3200 ram, i would preferably like a quiet card with decent overclocking capabilities. if anyone recommends anything other than the cards listed feel free to advise.

I would go with the FTW3, 3 fan and LG heatsink, they have excellent cooling and run quieter than the 2 fan vers.

Depends on what you want, save money or get the best one?

Also you can find the RTX 2080 Ti Evga Black for 999 pounds, isn't it worth delaying the purchase a little to afford the 200 pounds difference for the world's fastest gaming card?

Either way the Gaming X Trio is probably the model I'd go from there as it's much on pair with the FTW but it's cheaper so why not... the Gigabyte OC would still be cheapest and more than enough by all means though.

exactly, it looks, but it isn't.

FTW3 has the best heatsink.

This. I fucking love the ftw3, it's size alone makes my mouth water.. I can't even hear my fans unless I manually turn them up.

The ftw3 is worth the 20 extra euros, IMO.

I just got the best 2080 score in the superposition thread, I'm in the top 60 out of all Time Spy benchmarks (graphics score of 12,219) using the combo of 9700K and single 2080.

Yupp. And my GPU is older so you have a better chance of getting Samsung memory. Mine has Micron, which doesn't OC as good as Samsung memory, which means you could have better luck than me..

Absolutely

MSI is just shitty plastic with shiny LEDs and a crap slim heatsink that looks made for a 1050, EVGA is EVGA.

Yup, @Moalmalky8 have you seen it?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Mine runs consistently between 2050 and 2100mhz on the core.

Timespy,

+110 core and +1100 memory yielded 12,219.

+115 core and +815 memory yielded 12,149.

I haven't tested much beyond this as it's time consuming.

I run it at +95 core and +850-950 memory just because the higher OC doesn't yield much better results for anything other than benchmarking.

The MSI is just as capable as the FTW3. It comes down to acoustics and thermals, basically.. One card isn't binned better than the other so you have the same chance at OC with either.. I just personally prefer the look and design of the EVGA card. Not to mention they have one of the best warranties out there.. The MSI TRIO is deff a great card and was honestly my second choice, I was actually about to grab one before i found this gem at a discount.. I have zero regrets with the FTW3, though. Just make sure you have room for it lol.
