Parents PC

SHG_Marsh

I want to build my parents a PC but I don't know what to put in it. I already know I want an SSD but I don't know about anything else. They don't game, they just right emails and do some spreadsheets. I don't know what would be a good PC for them

ryzen 3/ intel 3 or some used cpu.

Stock cooler, or aftermarket if you want less noise.

Just the one thing you don't cheap out on is the PSU for reliability's sake.

Something like this maybe. Storage can be easily downsized.

However, a used i5 or something and some DDR3 would also be more than suitable. The SSD is what really makes these office PCs.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

FX is too power hungry. If anything I'd recommend a quad core FX and something like the GT or 730, but that's all a bit excessive. Anything with an iGPU is more up to the task. DDR3 is a good way to save, so an older Intel CPU would likely be pretty decent.
