Dell Workstation Server

Hi all. 

Have been looking at Dell rackmount precision r5500 workstations. 

They use x55 x56 series xeons and ddr3 ram. Will they perform decently with windows 10? I know they are getting on a bit but are very cheap for what they are and they have sli support.


Server 1:  CPU: i3 2100T  SSD: 840EVO MOBO: DQ67OW NIC: i340 -T4

Server 2:  CPU: Pentium D  MOBO: Dell Dimension 5150

Switch 1: Netgear GS108

Switch 2: Cisco 3500

I guess, But I'd get something with a low end E5-26xx V1/V2 (like a E5-2620 v2), as you get better upgrade options.

Xeon X56 series 6c/12t Xeons are still good. I have a overclocked Xeon X5670 on my main PC.
