Asrock x370 gaming system crashing

Recommended Posts

Posted · Original PosterOP

A friend of mine has a asrock x370 gaming motherboard, 2700x, gtx 1080 to, and 16 GB of gskill ram 3600 (running at 3000). He streams games online and has been experiencing complete bsod crashes. When this normally occurs he is using a program called "mix it up" for buttons on his stream. Also when this occurs he is getting hosted and receives around 1800 viewers. I dont have access to any errors, but I'm wondering if anyone has any idea why this may be happening?

Latest bois are installed, newest drivers are also. Temps max out a 67 c on the CPU. Passed memtest with no errors. I'm at a loss.

If he's always running a few programs when it happens, then you've got a good range to start isolating the processes. Test run on each of the suspected programs with some stress and see where things start getting weird. Maybe at that point reinstall problematic programs and or seek specific support.

As of right now the only thing I can this is maybe the mix it up program is doing something when he starts getting large amounts of views when streaming. Unfortunately I dont see anywhere online where other people have had the same problem. I've also stress tested the CPU with realbench and not had a problem.

Could he operate his same streaming setup without Mix It Up? If he can isolate that as the problem, then it's basic troubleshooting from there.

I'd say determining a software problem is going to make life much easier than having to start looking at replacing hardware.

Yeah without mix it up it seems to do fine.

If that's the case, I would uninstall Mix It Up and reinstall. If that doesn't work, he could contact their direct support.

That seems to have stopped it.
