help with new hardware and streaming!

so i just upgraded from an i5 7600 to a i7 8700k. My old setup streamed ok with almost no lag. My new setup (all i changed was mobo and CPU) stream with significant lag with streamlabs OBS. I can;t figure out why it would be this bad. Can anyone please help?

First determine what is this lag you speak of. Stream can have issues in so many points that calling something just "lag" (which is networking term and means that one part of connection is slower than other(s)) means we can't provide good help.
