Unfortunately so, even when it had just launched it had a really nice price considering the components, that's why i jumped on mine.

It has been around for a while now, i'm selling it before it loses value, i'm picking between the Strix X470-F, Aorus Ultra and Gaming 5 Wi-Fi, also some MSI models on the list.

To be fair that's why it confused me, its dirty cheap as well and readily available around here.

it's a cheap board with a ton of features so to say, even an external BCLK generator which many better boards lack. Imagine buying the cheapest model of car from any brand you know, then adding in all the optional extras to not look so cheap.

 

Oh and it overclocks memory badly so no good for APU overclocking

direct competitor to the Taichi (also Taichi Ultimate and Professional Gaming), better software imo but not as strong VRM.

the K4? Even the better 4 phase with 8 sets of SM4337 and SM4336 is worse than that with 8 sets of 4C10 and 4C06, not to mention the PZ0903PK and PK618BA setup that's also used.... Using Niko-sem's cheap stuff is what screwed over MSI's B350 and X370 boards you know. I shit on so many 4C10 + 4C06 setups on boards past $80 all the time so to be fair, I wont be giving all the Asrock 4 phase boards any good time if they cost more than that (with WiFi and BT then maybe $100 tops)

 

The ITX board is much better in contrast, though only a 3 phase Vcore is rather disappointing as it's limited by the ISL95712 controller (4+3 max, with integrated drivers so cant add doublers even if they want to). The powerstages are totally fine, better than the 40A ones on the Asus and Gigabyte boards.

Isn't C6H Extreme pretty much the same as regular C6H except for being bit wider and having more headers for water cooling? 

Where would Asrock Fatal1ty X370 Professional Gaming rank? BIOS is pretty bad from what I have heard, but it has best VRMs out of all X370 boards.

How about any Biostar B450 Boads? i dont see anything except it can OC the 2700X to 4.2 stable (B450GT3) but no temps for VRM or anything else.

i wouldn't get anything except the gt7, gtn and b350 gt3 for biostar on am4

 

others have some pretty harsh issues or are pretty weak

both are a 4+2 with ASP1405I, so no difference there

Compares to things like the Mortar, yes. Not enough to separate it from the bunch imo

Hero: 40A powerstages also found on the Taichi, the CSD87350

Extreme: 60A powerstages used by everyone on different platforms, the IR3555

 

Interestingly the doublers are different (IR3598 v.s. IR3599) even though they really dont need to as the 98's extra feature to work as a dual driver isnt used.

yeah... the problem is with some biostar boards that they have voltage problems, memory overclock problems, things like that

Asrock's PZ0903BK + PK618BA or SM4337 + SM4336. Asrock used both in 6 set of mosfets in 3 phase mode and 8 sets of mosfet in 4 phase mode in plenty of boards like the Pro4, MAster, Gaming X and Steel Legend. Only the 4 phase config with SM4337 + SM4336 is better than Biostar's setup.

thanks man this tells me what models mosfet have's on cheap AM4 Boards (or some specific brand), this is very useful for me to start learning about mosfet and stuff. By you mean 4 Phase is basiccaly not any of asrock B450 (if i remembered correctly all of them uses 3+3 config) and other B450 Boards that have 4 phase configh with SM4337 + SM4336? thanks for this, i love you

Only the Pro4 and some fatality boards based on the Pro4 use 3+3 phase, other cheap boards are 4+2.

 

I guess it's a supply issue, Asrock just puts whatever arrives in the factory first onto their boards

wait wait wait, so does this means the HDV have 4+2 phase design with that kind of model? idk what you mean by other cheap board, everything else is in range of Buyable, the only thing that is cheaper is the HDV and some other models (like 1 or 2).
