taichi, crosshair hero and gaming 7 are all great boards, and you shouldn't underestimate any board maker, even ones you might not be as familiar with, like biostar or powercolor. I work on facts, not on preferences

 

and FYI: Asrock is Phoenix and used to be Asus, so it's not a little company

Hy all!

 

I'm thinking about a new desktop PC rig. All I have is my MSI GTX 1660 Gaming X 6Gb video card, a Cooler Master B500 v2 500W PSU and my Cooler Master Mastercase Pro 3 midtower (supports micro ATX and mini ITX).

My first idea was an intel config, but it was far too expensive for me, so I've decided to AMD. But what next?  

I've choosen a setup and then though....

My choice is (for gaming):

AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 

Asus TUF B450M Plus Gaming

Cryorig R1 Universal CPU cooler (250W+ heat sinking)

G.Skill 32 Gb RAM

I can't decide in RAM manufacturer, RAM speed and dual channel or quad channel.

The ASUS TUF B450M plus gaming motherborad supports 3200Mhz RAM speed for single channel and for Dual channel but 2800-2400-2166Mhz for quad channel.

Could you please help me if 3200Mhz Dual channel or 2800Mhz quad channel is the better choice?

And if you know a better  AM4 microATX motherbord idea, please let me know!

I'd take a b450 mortar, b450 bazooka plus, steel legend or ab350/b450/x370 pro4 over it

CPU: not a cheap one (about 314 USA dollars, 281 Euros), but I don't want to upgrade it for about 5 years

I'me made a compare between the pro-4 and the pro-4-f at they're home page. I couldn't foung too much difference, so "f" is a variant sign in my opinion.

I don't think the performance or the quality of the board would have changed.

I think the only noticeable difference between the Pro4 and Pro4-F is that the Pro4-F has a few aesthetic changes such as white VRM heatsinks and different port layout.
