So I have decided to buy the Samsung 27" Curved Gaming Monitor as it has a 2560x1440p display. But it does not specify if it has free-sync. The model no. is C27JG50.

And can u also tell me if it is a good pick and if not suggest me a good one in the same price range.

What resolution do you plan to play games at ?  Do you prefer a 4k desktop and 1080p or 1440p gaming ?  Are you sure you don't want a bigger screen ?

I am going to be gaming at 1440p. Bigger 1440p screens do not fit in my budget. So I either have to sacrifice quality or size.

Is the PC going to be far away from you? If not a 24" 1080p 144hz monitor would do just fine

That is true, 1440p with all AA methods turned on and 144hz is def the sweet spot.  A big jump from 1080p and no AA.  Going above this is 4k but no card can deliver triple frame rates at 4k with AAA titles.

This one is a tad bit out of my budget. I live in India so they are a little expensive here.

A 24" 1080p monitor is at 90 ppi

a 27" 1440p monitor is at 110ppi

 

it's not too much sharper. The larger monitor is just better if your monitor is a bit further away.

Your options would then best be for a 1080p 144hz G-sync monitor
