Budget(ish) 4k TV advice

RedArrow

Hello there,

So my Mother has moved and is after a new TV, before she had a 48" Finlux 1080p which to be fair needs replacing now, as it's not Smart and is a fair old block for it's age.

I have been doing some looking online, and from what I can tell from a Price point to the features you get the best I could find is:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/TCL-50DP628-Smart-Freeview-50-Inch/dp/B07GT6F45K

Now, after watching Linus's video about how the TCL brand is actually decent, i'm fairly confident this is the best choice for my Mother, but as always I'd be happy to be enlightened to other options I may not be aware of, from you wonderful people of the LTT's Community! :)

Some details on what I'd like to retain:

1. Between 50" - 55" size

2. UHD 4k (Up scaled is fine, as at this price point I'd be surprised if can get a native 4k display).

3. Cost between £250 - £350 (Maybe could stretch to £400 if definitely worth it)

4. Would prefer a known brand such as; LG,Samsung, Toshiba, Sony, Sharp or TCL etc...

5. Must be a smart TV

Thanks for reading, and taking the time to reply if you choose to do so. :D
