Triple Monitor Setup for Home Office - Realtor®

kh0sa

Hi Everyone, I was looking to make a new PC Build for my home office. I am a realtor and I would like to have a slim bezel, sleek triple monitor setup. Most important thing to me is budget and productivity. I would like to spend no more than $2,000 Canadian including my PC & Monitors. Monitors themselves, since I need three of them I would prefer them to not be too expensive. Is 1080p worth it to get for my use or is it better to buy newer technology.

If I need to stretch the budget a bit, I can.

I was looking at getting three ASUS MX279H Silver & Black 27" Frameless Widescreen Monitor 1080P, but I am not sure if these can be installed on a Mount.

I just looked at these because their bezels are very slim and the price is affordable.

What are some other options I can do?

I spent the last 3-4 hours researching but I definitely need help, I am going in circles and wasting time.

Thank you in advance for reading, I appreciate any and all help you provide

I would personally get one super ultra wide instead of 3 monitors with bezels.  The new Samsung CRG9 is coming in May 2nd.  It will be 5120x1440 QLED, HDR10 Freesync 2 and 120hz  If your a content creator then this would do justice on the desktop.  As for games pushing that resolution is impossible to get good frame rates.  So play at 1440p but then you get black borders or maybe not Im not sure.

Asus Sabertooth x79 / 4930k @ 4500 @ 1.408v / Gigabyte WF 2080 RTX / Corsair VG 64GB @ 1866 & AX1600i & H115i Pro @ 2x Noctua NF-A14 / Carbide 330r Blackout

Scarlett 2i2 Audio Interface / KRK Rokits 10" / Sennheiser HD 650 / Logitech G Pro Wireless Mouse & G915 Linear & G935 & C920 / SL 88 Grand / Cakewalk / NF-A14 Int P12 Ex
AOC 40" 4k Curved / LG 55" OLED C9 120hz / LaCie Porsche Design 2TB & 500GB / Samsung 950 Pro 500GB / 850 Pro 500GB / Crucial m4 500GB / Asus M.2 Card

I really won't be playing many games on it.. I would like to be able to have multimedia playing on the other monitors, youtube or Netflix on one of the side monitors, etc, while productively using the others, being able to quickly shift around windows. It will be used for extensive research mostly so I want it to be visually appealing to me. The more I'm drawn to use this computer the better.

HardwareCanucks made a video about this. You might want to do something similar. They only spent $600 on monitors.

individual monitors prolly be better considering productivity

I use 2 over 3 but I use bottom 3 for gaming

if I was strictly looking at work related i'd prolly have 2 over 2

are you getting a stand also or just using 3 on a desk?

I would prefer to get a vesa mount thing, so that I have more desk space. Plus I think it looks cool. I know this limits my abilities in terms of monitor to purchase.

Nice to know, do you mind linking one? I only found one that was 27 inch tops.

Anything else on amazon or even ebay dot ca that you think would be a good purchase for 3 monitors.

Thanks for the recommendations!  We also make a clamp mounted version of the triple stand (STAND-V003T - https://www.amazon.ca/VIVO-Monitor-Adjustable-Screens-STAND-V003T/dp/B00B1D03GQ ), or if you'd prefer monitors side by side, we do have one mount that will support 27" monitors this way (STAND-V103 - https://www.amazon.ca/VIVO-Computer-Monitor-Adjustable-Freestanding/dp/B0798K58B4 ).

If the computer's primary use will be office work, and the most graphically demanding task is streaming video, you could use a GT 710 graphics card in your PC if triple monitors aren't supported already.  We use these in most of our office computers with triple monitors and never had a problem with them.  Here's one that should do well: https://www.amazon.ca/ZOTAC-GeForce-Profile-Graphic-ZT-71304-20L/dp/B01E9Z2D60

I did see a couple that were slightly cheaper, but they use tiny fans for cooling instead of the larger passive heatsink this card has installed.  I've found those tiny fans tend to get noisy and burn out after a couple years, so I try to avoid them when possible.
